I work in several mediums: paintings, ceramics, sculpture, assemblage, prints-all of which confront you with different challenges, and can reward you with a sense of accomplishment and joy.
One hopes to find a sense of order (a refuge, really) by organizing paint, clay, found objects, plaster casts, antique textiles, etc. into a visually cohesive object.
Both the process of getting there and the finished product can give you enormous nourishment and total exhilaration.
